Who I am
I am Mat Dodd, operating as Decisions in Practice.
I am responsible for the personal information collected through this website. If you have any questions about how your information is used, contact me at mat@decisionsinpractice.co.uk.
Information I collect
If you send an enquiry through this website, I collect your name, school or organisation, email address, your role if you choose to provide it and the information you include in your enquiry.
The form is intended for adults contacting me in a professional capacity. Please avoid including personal or sensitive information about students, colleagues or other people unless it is genuinely necessary.
The website also creates a temporary technical value from your IP address and email address to help prevent duplicate or automated submissions. Your raw IP address is not stored in the enquiries database and the technical value is automatically removed shortly after it is needed.
How I use your information
I use the information you provide to respond to your enquiry, send an acknowledgement and make reasonable follow-up contact about that enquiry.
I do not use enquiry details for newsletters, mailing lists or unrelated marketing.
I rely on legitimate interests as the lawful basis for this processing. My legitimate interest is being able to receive and respond to genuine business enquiries and protect the enquiry form from misuse.
Where your information goes
Enquiries are stored using Lovable Cloud, with this website’s Cloud project hosted in its European region.
Resend is used to send the acknowledgement email and the notification email I receive when you contact me. Some personal information is therefore processed by Resend. Information processed by service providers may be transferred outside the UK. Resend states that its Data Processing Addendum provides appropriate safeguards for international transfers.
I do not sell your personal information.
How long I keep it
Website enquiry records are automatically deleted 12 months after submission.
For enquiries that do not lead to ongoing work, I will delete the corresponding enquiry email 12 months after the last contact.
If an enquiry develops into a client relationship, relevant correspondence may need to be retained for longer for business, contractual, accounting, tax or legal purposes.
Cookies and analytics
This website currently does not use advertising trackers, marketing analytics or application login/session cookies. The website’s fonts are hosted locally rather than being requested from Google.
Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to ask me for a copy of your information, correct it, erase it or restrict its use. You can also object to processing based on legitimate interests.
To make a request, email mat@decisionsinpractice.co.uk.
If you are unhappy with how I have handled your personal information, please contact me first. You also have the right to raise a concern with the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO).
